I am Peter Galloup. Son, brother, friend, student, coach, CrossFitter, Christian. A man trying to better not only my life, but the lives of others around me through the application of fitness and the lessons learned from the steel bars, iron plates, and loose chalk. Searching for truth through the physical, to gain a little more insight into what lies below the surface. What we as humans are at our core… self discovery. The iron is one of the few ways to gain unchanging truth as well as introspection. As Henry Rollins would put it, “The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you’re a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds.” The gym is a gift…fitness is a gift and one I want to share with as many people as possible and if I can help a few people better themselves not only physically, but spiritually and emotionally along the way then I will have accomplished my goal.
